Iron Mountain

Internal Communications | Animation

Animated videos can be a really great way to get across your ideas. They’re enjoyable and engage your audience in an entertaining way.

Iron Mountain are an IT company providing a range of services to the tech industry. They needed some fun and informative animations to illustrate some of their IT processes and offerings. They already had an idea of how they wanted it to look – all the animations featured characters, representing staff and customers, inhabiting a cork notice board. The characters interact with other office stationery and equipment to illustrate various ideas: drawing pins, post-it notes and paperclips were amongst the assets used.

The Process of Animation

Animated characters require a process called rigging – imagine giving these flat 2d drawings joints and a skeleton so they can be moved – then they require key-framing, the time-consuming part of animation! The characters are moved and then applied to the background, where other objects can be moved for them to interact with.

Completing the Films

Once this is done we completed the videos with voiceover and music to compliment the look and style, and we were done! Check out a short example of the videos below – and if you need an animated video of any type, contact us here for a chat!
