Deborah Law Interiors

Property Design | Corporate Showcase

At Big Yellow Feet we like to think of ourselves as budding Kevin McClouds, so when Deborah Law Interiors contacted us to film a property video overview of their latest project, we jumped at the chance!

The build in question was a complete redesign of a lovely property in Virginia Water, incorporating some pretty extensive re-modelling as well as new interiors all round. The resulting video needed to really pop, to highlight the design work that had gone into the project.

Filming

Our main camera was our Sony Fs7, chosen for its detailed picture and ability to shoot in S-log, so that we could really push the footage, in terms of brightness, contrast and colour, once we were into post-production.

We also took along our new DJI Osmo so that we could get some interesting angles and moving shots to add to the piece.

On the day of the shoot – thankfully it was good weather – we spent time with the designer Deborah, who was also our presenter for the day, and the property owners, who kindly gave us an interview describing the project from start to finish. We filmed all around the property to capture certain areas and features that were important to highlight, and we also took along a selection of lenses to help us show the space for maximum effect.

Editing

During post-production we were trying to capture the spirit of Grand Designs, from our opening and closing jib shots revealing the entire exterior of the house, to paying care and attention to every shot in every room. As well as expansive wide angle shots of the large living spaces, we also captured close ups of those small design details that really make the room. Deborah was also able to supply us still images of how the house looked before and during the build, so that we could incorporate them into the edit and show how the spaces looked ‘before and after’.

We’re very proud of the final result, so have a look at the video above. If you are looking for any type of property video, please contact us here to chat through your ideas.
